Are version upgrades cumlative?

Based on release notes If issues and new features in version upgrades do not directly assist in how the product is used can an upgrade be skipped and upon the next release will it be cumlative? Also, what level of Ambient support is provided if support services are requested on an older version? Do you find this valuable?

Good question- yes all of the releases are cumulative, so you can generally jump from one version to another, and the database update utility will figure out exactly what updates need to be applied.

Now, this is true if you are already starting from a 2.2- series version. If you have a 1.X, 2.0, or 2.1 version, the update scripts need to be manually applied first (per the installation instructions). Once you reach 2.2, it's all automated.

Also, after reaching 2.2.65, future updates to the Server will automatically cause the Clients to update on their next login, but this only happens once the Client has been updated to at least 2.2.65.
