AirVision Version 2.8 (build 66) Release Notes – April 16, 2013

Issues Found and Resolved
1. 8872 loggers will no longer show in the pick lists for Link to Logger or Logger Download (as those utilities do not apply to the 8872).
2. An issue was addressed with the Monthly Report where flagged data only showed the flag background color but not the flag itself.

New Features
1. An option to display Null Codes is now available on the Daily Parameter Report.
2. The AQS Text Import Tool now supports PARS record imports (pipe delimited).
3. DMS Op Code mapping is now user-configurable. Support was also added for calibration phase Op Coding.
4. The Flags Editor will no longer allow null ‘Priority’ fields. Any flags that currently have a null ‘Priority’ field will be set to 999 and should be reviewed and corrected as desired.
5. The Monthly Report now shows the county code, unit code, and method code in the report header.
6. Both Precision and Accuracy Test Editors now have ‘Enable AQS Reporting’ check boxes allowing users to determine whether a test is included in the AQS XML Report.
7. Two reports are now available for comparing sample data values to ‘rolled up’ standard hourly value parameters (Sample Hourly Daily Comparison Report, Sample/Hourly Comparison Graph).

Site Node Logger
1. A Diagnostics tab has been added to the Site Node Logger Toolbox. This allows for more detailed logging if needed for troubleshooting.
2. An update was made so that if no channels are configured on the 8872, the log will not be repeatedly populated with ‘object reference’ error messages.
3. A new UtilitySetting will populate records and mark them with a ‘P’ flag for time frames where the AirVision service was not running. To enable this utility, run the following from the SQL Execution Tool:
Update UtilitySetting set SettingValue=’1’ where SettingKey=’ FillPowerFailGaps’

AirVision Version 2.8 (build 14) Release Notes – Feb 27, 2013

Issues Found and Resolved
1. An issue was addressed where the EDAS Import utility would overwrite memo entries if the date and time exactly matched an existing entry. Re-importing the memos after updating to AirVision 2.8.14 will restore any overwritten memos.
2. An issue was addressed where annotations were overwritten when a file import occurred. This has been corrected and now overwriting of annotations will be tied to the ‘Overwrite Existing Data?’ check box on the file import template. If ‘Overwrite’ is NOT checked, any pre-existing annotations will be preserved.
3. An issue was addressed where valid data in AirVision was overwritten with a NULL value when an EDAS Import of data was performed. -999 values from the EDAS files will no longer overwrite existing AirVision values with a NULL.

New Features
1. Additional information has been added to the footer area of the Precision Statistics Report including the total number of calibrations and number passed (‘passing’ is based on cals where error < drift warning limit; if no drift limit set it assumes passed).

AirVision Version 2.8 (build 1) Release Notes

Issues Found and Resolved

7. The Help and Support menu area has been updated to include version specific manuals and a link to software version and release information.
8. The Monthly Report, Daily Summary Report, Maximum Hourly Values, and 8 Hour Rolling Averages reports no longer list Particulate Sample parameters in the selection criteria pick list.
9. The parameter is now displayed in the Delete Annotations window.
10. The LogBook Report now displays the category list in the criteria.
11. An issue has been resolved in the AQI calculation so that when the AQI web service is asked for the “highest daily AQI’ data from the correct date will be returned.
12. The Network Data Recovery Report has been modified so that all enabled parameters that are linked to polled channels will be shown.
13. A change was made to how the Log function handles a zero value. Such a calculation will now return 'not a valid number' and 'replaced with null' messages. In the data editor, the value will null and flagged with an 'A'.
14. The Monthly Sample Data and AQS Text reports now exclude data if it has been flagged as ‘Exclude from reporting’ in the editor.
15. A date entry sorting issue was resolved in the Annotations Report.

New Features

9. The Time Series Graph settings of Use Dynamic Scaling and Use Dual Ranges have also been configured to retain settings as part of ‘user following’.
10. For customers using the Calibration Adjust Tool, the default setting has been changed to not adjust Span. There is also now an option to set up a scheduled task for calibration adjustment. AirVision Version 2.7 (build 50) Release Notes

Issues Found and Resolved
1. For reports, the ‘Screen Capture Form -> To Image File’ option was outputting blank files. Coding was adjusted to allow images to be created from the selected report tab.
2. When using the Parse feature to import a configuration dump file from an 8832, errors would be generated if K constant values were set as the expected results for calibration phases. This has been resolved.
3. When an existing scheduled Average Data Rollup Task was selected after navigating to other tasks, its Rollup Method would default to ‘Minute to Hour’ and if saved would apply the incorrect rollup method. This condition has been resolved.
4. Scheduled Average Data Rollup Tasks would allow different interval output tags to remain in place if the Rollup Method was changed, resulting in processing errors. Changing the method will now prompt the user with a warning and if changed will clear the output tags so that ones for the proper interval can be selected.
5. The calculator within the Sample Data Editor responded sporadically to calculation attempts. The tool has been revised so that the correct fields are populated as the calculator is completed.
6. Several reports and log areas of AirVision have been revised to properly display non-US date formatting (ex. DD/MM/YYYY).
7. An issue was resolved where attempts to purge or archive daily interval data would return an error.
8. Several areas of AirVision were not applying parameter round / truncate settings (Data Editor Analyze / Export, Realtime Data Display, some tooltips). This has been corrected.
9. The Average Data Editor ‘Value’ column had an issue where it would display exponentially small numbers incorrectly (ex.a Raw Value of 5.680E-5 would have a Value of 5.680 shown). This has been corrected so the exponential value is shown.

New Features
1. An option has been added that will allow addendums to be added onto existing logbook entries. The addendums are also marked as such in the LogBook Report. To enable this feature the following should be run against the database via the SQL Execution Tool:
a. Update UtilitySetting set SettingValue=1 where SettingKey=’EnableLogBookAddendum”
2. The LogBook Report can now have its output filtered based on Category (as selected when making a logbook entry).
3. A Transfer Now button has been added to the ribbon bar for the AIRNow AQCSV Report. This allows a manual way to upload AQCSV files.
4. The default interval for Realtime Data Trending has been set to 1 minute.
5. Navigation options for making edits in the Average Data Editor have been greatly increased. The combination of these keyboard selections allows most data edits to occur without mouse navigation.
a. Editable fields like the value and the method code can enter and leave edit mode by pressing Enter. Esc cancels an edit if one is entered accidentally. This allows a user to navigate via arrow keys and enter values as needed.
b. Data Editor columns that have associated popups (AQS Null Code, Flags and Qualifier Code) now trigger the pop-up when the enter key is pressed for their associated cell.
c. The Flags and Qualifier Codes grid selection selects or deselects rows by pressing the space bar.
d. The OK button is associated with the Enter key within these pop-ups and the Cancel button with the Esc key.

  7. Report margins have been increased on the Daily Summary and Monthly Summary reports to address issues some customers experienced when printing the reports.
  8. An issue has been addressed where after editing some of the grid-based configuration areas (AQI Program Editor, Flags Editor) an error was returned upon saving the changes.
  9. The configured delay between a cold start command and other download actions from the Logger Download was adjusted to improve performance.
  10. The total Reported Digits and Precision fields of the Parameter Template Editor now support up to 6 characters.
  11. An issue was resolved that stopped the hover over feature (pop up for viewing flags, annotations, etc.) from working in the Average Data Editor.
  12. The AQS XML Report has been changed to include the Duration Code for Precision and Accuracy record submissions.
  13. The AQS XML Report has been modified to apply specific Unit Codes to specific parameter codes:

b. Ability to directly edit fields like Null Code, Flags, and Qualifier Code
c. Improved hover tool tips on the Cross-Tab and Matrix views
d. The right-click context menu filters out options not available to the user

2. Previously, AirVision used a Fill Data Gaps utility that created place holder records in the database. This ensured a continuous time range of records in the database, addressing cases wheresporadicdata collection resulted in a gap in time intervals. The mechanism for dealing with these data gaps has been improved such that gaps are now handled virtually in memory instead of with records that are stored in the database. This saves space in the database, improves data load times, and removes the need to have a scheduled database gap filler task. If any of the ‘blank’ intervals are edited (a value is added, flags or annotations are set, etc.) the application will create the needed entry in the database at that time.

a. To disable any existing Fill Data Gaps scheduled tasks
The following SQL script can be run via the SQL Execution Tool:
i. update dbo.Task set Enabled = 0 where UtilityPluginID='58e76db8-a636-de11-9cca- 001e8c005352'

3. Scheduled poll tasks now have user selectable options that allow a choice of what days the task will execute and also the ability to restrict execution to a certain range of hours.

4. An Export to Excel button has been added to the ribbon bar of the Calibration Data Editor.

5. A Basic Data Export report has been created. This report will return a very basic site/parameter/date/value format for customers requiring a simple CSV export of data.

6. A database switchable option has been added that will disable the ability to delete annotations and also stop the annotations from being removed when data is restored to original.

a. Set dbo.UtilitySetting SettingValue to 0 for AnnotationDeletesAreAllowed

7. A database switchable option has been added that will preserve existing flags on data when those flags have been set prior to the data interval being polled or imported.

a. Set dbo.UtilitySetting SettingValue to 1 for PreserveExistingFlags

8872 Issues & Updates

1. The instantaneous RealTime displays and Site Node Logger Toolbox have been updated to show reported unit of measure even if the instrument unit of measure is different.

2. The RealTime Data Trending display now includes the units of measure for displayed parameters.
