The log viewer pops up at the bottom of the screen whenever certain actions are performed:

• Saving / changing task scheduler items
• Communication functions (link to logger, manual poll, download)

However, the split screen can be sometimes distracting or take valuable window space. What to do?

You can drag the Log Viewer to be its very own tab by grabbing the top blue bar of the Log Viewer, and dragging it. You get five icons floating in the middle of your screen to represent the four ways you can "pin" the split window, but drag your mouse to the center icon and release. The Log Viewer will show up in its own tab.
