To designate a site for slow modem (1200/2400 baud) connection: in the Server Configuration, you can attach multiple ‘central’ modem instances to a COM port on the central PC. Add a second modem and choose one of the ‘max baud rate’ modem types. When setting up the phone number (route) for a particular site, change the modem designation from “Use Any Available Modem” to select the slow modem only.

It has also been noted that some modems will modify their DTE port speed to follow the connect speed. If you have this problem, Agilaire has modem update scripts to resolve this issue. Contact support@agilairecorp.com for details.
