GSI Entry Editor (planned for Version 1.1)

This editor allows users to add, delete, or modify GSI driver entries.


  • Editable fields and validation include:
    • GSI Instrument
      • Name (required)
      • Default TCP Port (integer, up to 6 digits)
      • Default Modbus Code (integer, 0…255)
      • Default Modbus Command Typeck list..3 or 4)
    • GSI Entry
      • Associated instrument (pick list from configured instruments)
      • Send Name (string)
      • Autosend String (string up to 8 char)
      • Autosend Repeat Interval (1..60 seconds)
      • Parse Name (string, up to 8 char)
      • Parse Sync String (string)
      • Radio Button: Fixed or Delimited Parsing
      • Fixed:
        • # of Chars to Data (int, up to 3 digits)
        • Data Field Width (int, up to 2 digits)
        • # of Chars in string (int, up to 3 digits)
      • Delimited:
        • Delimiter Chars (string)
        • # of Delimiters to Data (int, up to 3 digits)
        • # of Delimiters In String (int, up to 3 digits)
      • Data Field Type (pick list- Hex, Binary, Float)
      • Modbus Register
      • Default Units

  • GSI Digital Entry
    • Associated instrument (pick list from configured instruments)
    • Modbus Coil
    • Input / Output

It would be useful to have an option to copy a driver so that a new one may be modified from an existing one instead of built from scratch.
