Open the Logger in Data Source Details->(Logger) and select Communications

• click Add Route

• click Add Serial Route
• enter a Route Name, e.g., Direct1
• enter a Comm Port, e.g., COM1 (This field can be the same as the Route Name.)
• Baud Rate (9600)
• Data Bits (8)
• Stop Bits (1)
• Parity (None).

Click the Save button. The serial route for a direct communication will be added to the Comm
Routes folder tree diagram.
